Der 1992 in Rom geborene Pianist Rodolfo Focarelli begann im Alter von neun Jahren mit dem Klavierspiel. Seine erste musikalische Ausbildung sowie sein italienisches Klavierdiplom erhielt er bei Konstantin Bogino und Laura Pietrocini.

Von 2016 bis 2021 studierte er im Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang an der Musikhochschule Lübeck in der Klasse von Prof. Konrad Elser. Anschließend folgten ein weiterer Master in Instrumentalkorrepetition sowie das Studium der Liedgestaltung an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München bei Prof. Gerold Huber und Prof. Christian Gerhaher.

Rodolfo ist Preisträger mehrerer nationaler und internationaler Wettbewerbe, darunter ein 1. Bundespreis bei Jugend musiziert (Kategorie Klaviertrio). 2024 erreichte er das Finale des Bolko-von-Hochberg-Liedwettbewerbs in Görlitz und wurde dort mit einem Sonderpreis ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus wurde er 2026 für das renommierte Kunstliedprogramm „Lied the future“ ausgewählt, das in Spanien von Schubertiada organisiert wird.

Als Solist trat er 2015 mit Tschaikowskys Klavierkonzert op. 23 zusammen mit dem National Ukraine Radio Orchestra unter der Leitung von Vladimir Sheiko auf. Konzertengagements führten ihn u. a. nach Berlin, Glasgow, Padua, Rom und Venedig.

Rodolfo ist Korrepetitor des Münchner Konzertchors und arbeitete zudem mit dem Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks, dem Münchner Oratorienchor und dem Chor der Klangverwaltung zusammen. Seit 2023 ist er als Klavierdozent und Chorleiter an der Musikschule Ismaning tätig.

Seit 2026 hat er eine Stelle als Korrepetitor an der Ballettakademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München inne.

Born in 1992 in Rome, pianist Rodolfo Focarelli began playing the piano at the age of nine. He received his early musical training and his Italian piano diploma studying with Konstantin Bogino and Laura Pietrocini.

From 2016 to 2021, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Lübeck University of Music in the class of Prof. Konrad Elser. He then earned an additional Master’s degree in instrumental coaching (Korrepetition), followed by studies in song interpretation (Liedgestaltung) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, studying with Prof. Gerold Huber and Prof. Christian Gerhaher.

Rodolfo is a prizewinner at national and international competitions, including a First Prize at Jugend musiziert (piano trio). In 2024, he reached the finals of the Bolko-von-Hochberg Song Competition in Görlitz and received a special prize. Furthermore, in 2026 he was selected for the prestigious Art Song programme “Lied the future“, organized in Spain by Schubertiada.

As a soloist, he performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto op. 23 in 2015 with the National Ukraine Radio Orchestra under Vladimir Sheiko. His recital engagements have taken him to Berlin, Glasgow, Padua, Rome, and Venice.

Rodolfo is a répétiteur with the Munich Concert Choir and has also worked with the Bavarian Radio Chorus, the Munich Oratorio Choir, and the Chor der Klangverwaltung. Since 2023, he has been a piano instructor and choir director at the Ismaning Music School.

In 2026 he has been appointed répétiteur at the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
